Fashion's Night Out - Custom Banners and Step and Repeat Backdrops

September 8th is approaching which means that it is time to get ready for Fashion's Night Out.

National Flag & Display has played a large role in meeting the custom banner, flag and Step and Repeat backdrop needs of our clients in connection with this very special evening.

See what we did on the Macy's Broadway Facade in NYC.

Custom Banners for Smurf Week in NYC

It was a very "blue" week for National Flag & Display Co.  We don't mean "blue" as in our mood.  We mean "blue" as in the little blue guys who are the Smurfs.

National Flag was lucky enough to have been chosen by NYC & Co. to produce the custom banners in connection with this very exciting event.

Custom Banners, Step and Repeat Backdrops and Flags in New York City (NYC)

What type of substrate should you use for your next Custom Banner, Step & Repeat Backdrop or other Event Banner?  This is a question that we are asked time and time again.

The answer really depends on Use, Budget and Ease of Transport:

Use:  For high-end uses, we recommend Digitally Produced Fabric using Dye-Sublimation.  Dye-Sublimated Banners and Step & Repeat Backdrops produce beautiful, vibrant, products that have a matte finish and are ideal for photographs for any Red Carpet Event.

Budget:  When budget is tight, we recommend Ink-Jet on Vinyl.  While Vinyl does have the potential for glare when used for Step & Repeat and other Custom Banners, it is an extremely cost-effective way to produce your event banner.

Ease of Transport:  The hands down winner in this category is Digitally Produced Fabric using Dye-Sublimation.  Because the ink is actually embedded in the fabric (usually polyester poplin), the fabric has an extremely soft "hand" and can be folded without risk of damaging the artwork.  When preparing the banners for use, just lightly iron if any wrinkling is apparent.

In contrast, Vinyl banners will need to be rolled to avoid damage.  Once a vinyl banner has a crease or wrinkle in it, it is extremely difficult to remove (except through extreme tensioning).

Custom Pillows - A Great "Green" Way to Repurpose Event Banners

Whether your event involves a Step & Repeat backdrop on a red carpet or a Building Wrap celebrating your company's 100th anniversary or initial public offering, the question is always asked..."What do I do with this huge banner after the event?"

Unfortunately, most banners end up being packed in a box and left in a storage closet never to be seen or heard from again.  Given the amount of time and resources that went into their creation, this is a tremendous shame from both a marketing and environmental perspective.

At National Flag, we have been turning these banners into post-event souvenirs in the form of Custom Pillows, Messenger Bags and Tote Bags.  These items are "Green" from both a marketing and environmental perpspective.

Please give us a call to discuss the many "green" possibilities for your post event banners and signage.
